Edward Nassarre was a retired postal employee from the San Francisco Bay Area. He moved up to Lake County in May of 1994. He had been visiting the lake since he was 14 years old.

Edward spent most of my life fishing for striped bass, salmon, pacific rockfish, ocean perch and many other species in San Francisco Bay and the nearby ocean. He enjoyed many long vacations as well as weekends catching catfish, bass, crappie, carp and bluegill on beautiful Clear Lake.

Edward spent a couple of years commercial fishing for ocean perch and rockfish in San Francisco Bay. Most of his perch fishing experience was in S.F. Bay and the immediate coast south to Halfmoon Bay.

Edward's "Catfish Ed " nickname in no way indicates any particular skills in the art of catfishing. He acquired the name when first getting on the internet in March of 1998. Edward needed to think of a unique user name for my ISP and since he did a lot of catfishing and his first name is Ed, it sounded like a good choice.

Edward had learned quite a bit about the feeding habits and movements of channel catfish in the lake but was definitely not an expert on catfishing of any type. He received emails from all over the country requesting detailed information about catfishing all over the united states.

He was happy to receive inquiries of any kind pertaining to Lake County California and especially Clear Lake. Edward did not always have all the answers but he was able to help either by finding the info or referring you to a website that may help.
