There is plenty of shore fishing available both on the main lake side and in the sheltered canal. The predominant fish species in Clear Lake are: largemouth bass, channel catfish, white catfish, brown bullheads (yellow cats), black crappie, white crappie, bluegill, sunfish and carp. Located minutes from Rattlesnake Island, one of the best bass and catfish spots on the lake. The very sheltered canal side of the campground.   A great catfish spot on the lake side of the island.
