CLear Lake Fall Carpin

Paul from the Carp Anglers Group email list and his brother-in-law Tommy came up to Clear Lake on Monday November 5 for an overnite session.

My fishing buddy Andy Rico and I arrived at M & M Campground at about 8:30am on Monday November 6 and found Paul and Tommy both unhooking nice carp. We set up our rigs and started catching as well. It was pretty well non-stop action until around 11:00am and then it slowed down considerably. The fishing picked up again shortly after 12 noon and Paul and Tommy were still catching when we left at around 1:30pm, they figured they had caught at least 60 carp since their arrival on Monday afternoon including a 19 pounder. I caught 9 carp from 9 to 16 pounds from 8:30am to 1:30pm and Andy had a slow day with only one fish but it was a beauty of 18 pounds. Paul with a nice 15 pounder, one of many fish caught that morning.
